PVD NEW YEARS HELP
hey guys,
I am coming in from Toronto, Canada for this new years event and all the information I can find about this event is shady. More specifically the venue has not confirmed this event and it is 2 weeks ago.
anyways,
does anyone have the real do with this and will anyone on here that speaks english want to give me the low-down. i would really appreciate it since we are spending tonnes of money to come down to this event.
Thanks!!!!!
Adam

a buddy of mine translated most of the info on the site, here's the gist of it:
Dj lineup is pretty self-explanatory...
its in a resort called Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallarta, approx 15-20 kms north of downtown Puerto Vallarta.
general admission is $450 pesos in advance and 500 at the door. this area has a bar, food, washrooms, and minors are allowed.
VIP tix are $800 pesos in advance, 900 at the door. this area has "waiter served sparkling wine" (they serve champagne), grapes and fruits! (I don't quiet get this), and full access to the venue.
fyi as of today $1CDN = $8.57 mexican pesos
party starts at 6:00pm, PVD's set starts at midnite! fuckin' awesome way to ring in the new year!
tix are sold at "Mr. CD" & "Tiendas LOB", so i guess you'd have to buy 'em at the door or get to one of these locations if you get there a couple a days early.
then there is a warning on fake tickets and it says make sure you buy 'em at one of the authorized ticket sales venues.
Services:
VIP area is 18+ with ID
bar and food area (i'm guessing a snack/food bar)
paramedics
ambulances
stands
washrooms
pyrotechnics
decorations!?
laser show
2 for 1 beer, before 11pm
and its an all ages event
thats pretty much everything on the website, if anyone's got more info pls post.
there's a couple of us headin' down from Van city...it'd be cool if we hook up down there.

It's a Hispanic tradition for New Years. Don't ask me why though.
