You've gotta pay more attention to the actual messages that come up, but anyway...
A trojan isn't a type of virus, it's an evil program you downloaded off KaZaA or some warez site that, if run, will do evil things to your computer. It doesn't "infect" files like a virus does though.
So, must likely, Norton put that file into quarantine, and that's why it's not coming up in scans anymore. If you never executed the trojan program, you're fine - if you did, Norton probably did not fix whatever the trojan did, and I hope for your sake that you paid attention to what the name of the trojan was so you can google it and find out how to fix it.
