Comments as I listen:
Like the intro bit, but I think you could turn the electro type sound up and the clap down a little.
Not a fan of the predictable Crash pattern prior to the bassline.
Bassline fucking rocks.
Nice Hook, good percussions.
Simple but effective melody.
Vocal needs to be way louder, and the overall level of the vocal needs to be adjusted. Ride the amplitude slider over the vocal to even out the levels.
I think the vocal is a little muddy sounding, possibly kill some of that low reverb on it and sparkle it up a bit with careful EQ'ing.
The piano chords are good, but it sounds like a Fisher Price piano made them. Get some real piano samples! =)
The strings in the breakdown sound a little cheese, again a problem that would be eliminated with better string/orchestral samples.
Love how you draw out that last note of the vocal and bring the beat back in subtly.
Again, that bassline fucking rocks, love it when it comes back in at around 7:20.
Not really sure that I like how the break kicks in at 8:20, but can't judge for sure until after a few listens.
Sounds like the Naked Angel Whoosh at the end of the track
Overall, I like this quite a bit. The breakdown is a little long and I'd recommend taking that breakbeat out from 8:20 and putting it in the breakdown instead. Also, turn that vocal up! Sounds like the vocal might be a little out of tune at some points, but that could just be because it's way too wet sounding and needs more in the high range. I'd also maybe add a few more subtle percussive elements to occupy more of the stereo field.
Great work, look forward to hearing the final version.
