Indeed, we also agreed on one thing : if the shop you are buying your carts at is honest, the only difference in price between, let's say Pro carts and Nightclubs, would be the price difference between the styli.
As in, would you do following calculation : price of a Pro cartridge with stylus - price of a replacement pro stylus, would be equal to the price of a nightclub cartridge with stylus - price of a replacement stylus. And so on with all models.
Here it became obvious that some shop owners add a little extra to their price, just because it has the same color as the higher model.
But for the sonic specifications, the stylus makes the difference, not the cartridge. The only thing that changed in the carts the last years are the contacts. Older Concordes had flat contacts, and some people claimed it messed up the contacts in the tonearm. So they made rounder ones, and continue to do so now.
