Well, I like Mini Disc better because with it, songs last longer, sound better ( supposedly ) and you can hook it up to your computer and burn Mp3's onto the Mini Discs, can take it anywhere , small, and well, I just like it better.

MD MD MD all the way.

Same reasons as above due to it's small size and cheapness if you want to take more discs with you. Recording through optical is just unbeliveably easy.

Also I'd say that they have much better sound quality then MP3s (unless encoded at 256kbps) since they are using ATRAC compression.

MD by far =)

like many others have said..
-looooooonngggg battery time, one time 1 battery lasted 39 hours!
-reusable discs (although there are cd-rw)
-no need for a cd burner which many cant afford
-optical recording, good also because Soundcards are coming with Optical-Outs in em!!!
-normal stereo jack recording
-MD's are small
-CD play are big
-MP3 Players CAN (not ARE) be prone to crashes and not being able to read the data

i dunno.. personal preference, whether you want style, size and quality or sheer storage compacity of a MP3-CD player.. also MP3-CD's copy music quicker instead of the real-time recording of MD's, thats all i have to say!

I have to say I like the concept of the MP3 CD Player, I haven't seen great MD players here, MP3 players with flash cards are simply the best, waiting for the advancement in those to arrive!

All i know is Mp3 cd players eat batteries like crazy and Mini-disks are so much better, you can get like 300 mins of music on those things plus hook them up to your computer to record, but i don't know shit about how long batteries last in those, so i chose Mini-Disks!!

err, apart from the one that *is* a mp3-cd player...they all have less than 128mb memory

...next to useless imo

at least md costs very cheap for each disk, compared to memory for the mp3 players!
