And holy shit, talk about greediness. Like seriously, can they hold on to their money any tighter.
If I was rich I would donate huge chucks of my money to the poor. I mean you don't need 2.4 billion dollars to live. |
i do completly agree with the fact that the rich should help the poor. but some factor to think about.
- rich people do already give a lot, just think about all the charity balls and fund raising events. I work for a BIG accounting firm, and we just had a United Way charity drive, and raised a lot of money. I do also realise that those balls and such do waste money, but atleast they are conributing some how.
- And as for CEO's most of the money ISNT actually there's. Thats why all the stats say "net worth", thats if they liquidate all their assets...which never actually happens. If they would like to continue working (which most of them do) they must keep their shares to stay in power of a company. I know we all think, just sell and retire, but some people do get a sense of satisfaction from ruling a huge company. Its just a job, and they should not be looked down upon for getting to the top.
- Why not take a look at atheletes if you want to count greedy money makers. Michael Schumacher...the most well payed athelete in the world, on an anual baisis. Makes $40mil US a year just from his salary from Ferrari, plus his endorsments, he makes around $80-$100mil US per year. Thats nuts.
- there are examples of capitalism everywhere, but this is the only real solution to the human brain. Because communism wont work as long as people think they way we do. "Why work if the government is gonna give me money anyways?" or "Why bother trying, the government makes all the decisions".
People need to be motivated by choice and the fear of not surviving.
