To be defeated in a computer game, causing the winner's ego to inflate like a party balloon as if such a victory has any tangible significance outside that of his stinking socks-infested dorm room. These people will frequently create animated GIFs of violent sports events where a player gets clobbered by his opponent, complete with blinking neon "PWN3D!" captions, and post them on their blogs to indicate that they should not be messed with.

Yeah, it was a pretty wild night.
I was sitting on the balcony watching the storms go past for about two and a half hours and I can't ever remember seeing anything like it. There was a lightning flash pretty much literally every two seconds sustained for the entire time and like a constant rumble of thunder. I was trying to keep track of where the flashes were coming but there was just so many different storms that it was hard to keep track of (except for the noisy one that passed pretty much directly overhead - thought it was wise to watch that one go by from the inside of my house). The entire day was pretty crazy actually - we spent the night in Lorne (in South West Vic) and it was sunny the entire way back and then dumped down with rain while we were coming back on the freeway. Pretty much as soon as I got home it started hammering down marble-sized hail stones for a good ten minutes before it cleared up again into a sunny afternoon. Then, of course, the thunder storms came and didn't leave until about 3-4 in the morning.
And speaking of flooding, I got a call that night from some mates who had driven into what they thought was a shallow puddle, but it actually came up to the windscreen when they tried to drive through it. They stopped the car but when they tried to start it again it wouldn't go - the engine (understandably) was completely screwed and the interior got completely flooded out. They had to climb out the windows and get another one of my mates to pick them up. Lord knows what's happening with the car now. Plus, someone I work with (who lives about 5 mins away from me) had his entire bedroom flooded, destroying thousands of dollars worth of electrical equipment.
Had a ripper of a storm last night .. rain was probably the heaviest I'd ever seen, it really was pull-off-the-freeway material
Got absolutely drenched in the process of getting out of the car, slamming the door and running under shelter (took about 2 seconds) :/
Shitload of lightning and thunder, though it wasn't as close as I'd like
Scared the crap out of my dog though

Yeah the skies were pretty gash down in the Liverpool area, and the weather added another 15 minutes to my train ride home.
