i think it's done right, scratching a trance track can sound really cool. but it definitely doesn't have as much use as it would in a hiphop track (duh).

Several Australian hard trance DJs will do some scratching over a track .. it usually sounds pretty bad, mainly because the hard trance track they're playing is f**king horrific....

It can be done well with trance, but nobody seems game enough to try it! Backspins also kick ass

Tom Harding scratches, and he scratches goood
he had a set at Crasher at Passion and it was well good. He plays HArd Trance btw.

you COULD do scratching in trance, maybe during breakdowns, before the track drops, and during the build up of certain phrases in the tracks. If practiced, it could turn out quite well, as i do like a bit of scratching (turntablism rocks!) but too much (like MC's) would be shit.

True true, it can add but if done too much can take away. As noted there are many who scratch once in a while. I remember the best I've heard really from trance was Johan Gielen at the last Trance Energy. And even at this years Dancevalley Tiësto finished off his set with some scratching .And then there was the total DJ Jean F-up scrathing

Someone one did a remix of the Transformers themesong. I think it would even fall under trance and it's an AWESOME song.

I listened to qlimax when it was streamed live, and there was an insanely good hardstyle scratcher. I wish I could remember who it was, though (pavo? the prophet? it was after luna)

What does that have to do with scratching?

I was gonna say the same thing on Sound In Motion it was well timed and well suited, and Hybrid does it too even though they arent really Dj's.
