hmm i dunno.. fill up my tank is about 15 bucks.. i get an avergae of 300 miles per gallon. im not sure what the distance is down to Florida from VA ( 1000 miles? i dunno)
if i can spend under 150 for gas going down, comng up, and all week i should be fine.. but i havent dichotomized between flying or driving just yet.
Heres another thing tho too..if i do drive then I'll have my own transportation down in Miami. I wont be spending money on taxicabs and buses to get to the conference. At least i dont think so. I've never been to WMC so i dont know how all that works.
I'm sure Miami is trying to get as much money from this event as the promoters and DJs ? perhaps
Well I still need to check all my resources out first before i make a commitment to it.

the "actual" conference you will never go to unless you are a dj/vendor/producer/buying the ticket for $225. so 99.99% of your time will be spent between 2nd street and 22nd street and collins and ocean at the various parties so transportation is pointless other than to get to and from space. Everything else is situated right in south beach. Plus, having a car you now have to pay to park it either at a meter (if you can find one) or at valet which is about 15-25 a day depending on the hotel

Hmm
Well see heres the critical information i need. Yes you're right I'm mainly concerned about the parties rather than the conference.
At the rate im going right now tho..i dont know if i can book a hotel just yet coz i need to figure out expenses and see if anyone else can go and share a room.
That being said, i figured it would most likely be certain that all hotels in the vicinity would be accomodated and that I would have to settle for a hostel somewhere outside of Miami and drive in to all the parties.
hahaha thats me...the perpetual pessimistic !

def. not...there are plenty of hotels available, just make sure you get one around the area I discussed before...That way you can just wake up and hit the beach/parties and/or hit on the lovely beach bunnies on their way to said beach

ok sounds good..
Like i said I've never been to WMC so i really need to do my homework on this and plan for it. I'm going to check around for hotel prices and flights too.
Tim_G is flying down and staying down in some hotel.. perhaps i could stay in with him, maybe get a few more people to cut costs.
Cool
thanks for the info Ian sir, good day to you
