If anything G&D would turn a commecrialized track into a quality unique track, therefore they are doing good things for the whole music industry as opposed to only making a statement about capitalism by refusing to remix commercial artists.

Useless discussion. If you like it listen to it and if you don't like it leave it alone.

I bet Dave laughs when he reads all the stuff about g&d. The best dj's of the world play his productions, do you think he is impressed by 10 guys on a board saying he's cheese?

It seems like a lot of people here can't seem to accept other people's opinions. Even starting to bitch at eachother and such.

Another classic example:

Above & Beyond remixed Madonna...they also mixed a Fragma song too...and not least Ayumi Hamasaki who is the biggest commercial POP star in Japan.. and would u call A&B Cheesy?

They are one of the biggest Trance acts and LABEL owners (Anjunabeats) with full respect from the likes of PVD, Tiesto, Armin etc and thousands of other fans...

I agree with DJ Nemesis 101% - I just wish people wouldn't be so narrow minded caught up in their own genre artist/producer tastes..

Comparing the likes of artists and producers for favouritism is not entirely a possible thing to do. Music is music and it's made by different people from diferent era's, diferent times, diferent societies, diferent skills and diferent inspirations from DIFFERENT
people! Everyone has different tastes!

Doing a commercial remix does not mean shit... in G&D case, they could actually be doing the scene a favour by giving Young teenage girl/boy POP addicts a taste of more mature sounds of dance music which would ultimately educate them with a more serious dance sound... as many would say "the future is in their hands" so what better way express music to crowds that wouldnt normally get to hear in this case, G&D's music.

I actually discovered A&B from Madonna's EP... I listen to chart music on the radio when i drive... so what?

So

As i said and in another thread......their remix of this track is one of the best IMO.Surely it's not like their remix of Mindcircus but they are totally different tracks.Anyway just listen the original mix and then the G&D Remix and you will see the difference .Way to go Dave & Josh, you really did impress me this year with your remixes

I am happy to see producers from our scene do well. G&D deserve credit for staying true to their roots and producing quality remixes - unlike BT who is so obviously chasing boy band type stardom and the big bucks. Yuk.
