as an avid hard trance fan, i've also been disheartened by the lack of quality hard trance released over the past year or so. but more recently though, i've found new outlets which have rekindled my undying passion for creampies errr i mean hard trance.

try:

dj josher - do you want me, a lot of good shit is comin out of the stik label.

bitch project - m-dry, 1st release out of warmduscher's new label... could fakten be our saviour? here's hopin...

mmmmmm creampie.

ooh ooh. just cause i wanna, my fave shokk/flutlicht remixes/productions are as follows (in order of how much they were sweetnuts):

1. dj energy - exelsis
2. cosmic gate - back to earth
3. dave joy - first impression
4. alex bartlett - amnesia
5. marc dawn - expander
6. dj spoke - ignition

k i could go on but they truly are mind-blowing for mine.

Last year saw the best hard trance tracks I've ever heard, whether they were originals or remixes - Altitude, First Impression, Icarus, Alone With Me, Teardrops, Ignition, Excelsis, and of course Isn't It All A Little Strange ...

...and this year - practically nothing. Well, apart from the non-event that was "My maddness...", which slightly saved face with the Marcel Woods remix. The Flutlicht b2b shokk live on HQ XL radio 18-10-03 is.. well.... crap. It's nothing at all like what I remember

I used to dream about seeing SHOKK/Flutlicht play live - but now, gimme Wag or Yakooza any day.

Thoughts? :/

I'm glad there is appreciation for SHOKK's absolutely outstanding remix of Altitude, which has got to be one of the finest pieces of music ever.

My uninformed opinion is that European hard trance as a whole has taken a bit of a dive compared to the UK scene recently.

If you read the message at reverb's site, you'll find out that there will never be Flutlicht and SHOKK as we know them anymore

omg nooooooooooo!!!

Icarus was one of my favourite tunes EVER...there are countless amazing tracks produced by both Flutlicht and SHOKK, Flutlicht in particular...and now no more of the Flutlicht I know and love...

well, i guess change isn't necessarily bad, unless whatever "new" Flutlicht/SHOKK sound that appears ends up sounding like crap.

That's a shame, Flutlicht is one of my favourite producers during the last couple of years. I'll miss their remixing and producing skills.
