My record boxes hold about 80 each. If I'm not sure about the type of set I'll end up playing then I will bring both.. otherwise I usually have one crammed with about 110 records.
Ironically I have records in my box that haven't been touched for about a year now.
It all depends on the lenght of the slot you have, but 50 to 70 records is a hell of a long time in music terms. With quantity you just get more options.
I find that the way my overall set changes is very gradually. It's more like an evolving beast that get's a few new additions every week. Sometimes it can feel like I have been playing the same set for months but when I look back my set the previous week would be different from the one I am playing now. Also depends on what's new at the time.
As a resident it's different as you have to pull something new out of the bag everytime you play.
