I agree. Ferry's epic tracks are unbearable. I wish he would focus on tracks such as Indigo and Right of Way instead.

And you wondered why I called you the biggest twat this year

Ferry made an amazing trance remix of this classic and also of ravels. It was well before he made a single electro-influenced track and unlike your friend Tijs, who after spending so long talking about not wanting to be known as just another Ferry Corsten, copied the one track most people will know him for. If you don't like it, maybe you shouldn't listen to trance at all. It's much better than traffic, nyana, rain on me, obsession, flight 643 and all the stuff you worship tijs for.

4 Years on, it's still being warmly remembered, but will all the tiesto productions that you believe in so much ? No. Sure you can try to tell me that just cos you've been to college in music that you know best, but all the people who do like the song can't be right can they ?

haha, faulty logic at its best. are you saying that this silly remix of Ravel will be more "warmly remembered" than Sparkles, Theme from Norjefell, Suburban Train, Obsession, 643 etc.? dude, you've got to be kidding me if you really believe that. look at this thread, this track is so "warmly remembered" so many years after it was done that a lot of people didn't even have a clue that it existed. at least the Adagio remix made an impact on the scene, i know that, but the Ravel remix was a flop and you know it. In four years from today much less people are gonna know it exists while Traffic and Obsession will be hailed as classics.

I'm not blindly hating on anything FC and I'm not talking as a matter of fact, don't put words on my mouth. I have my taste and the right to be insulted by this fluffy stale epic shit as much as you have the right to diss anything Tiesto. I've never flamed you, but for some reason my OPINION offends you as much as direct insults from the Master or someone like that.

The Ravels remix was only not remembered as much due to it being released so soon after the Barbers Adagio one, which was so huge, it doesn't detract from the fact that it was still a class piece to true trance fans.

Sparkles is indeed brilliant & Norjefell also pretty good (aptness remix anyway) but obsession was poor & traffic is already getting annoying like atrc is to a lot of people. In my opinion ferry's best works included ones not as well known, like his remix of revelation & galaxia.

Maybe I do take it personal but when you diss ferry (every time i've seen you mention him it's been bad) then why shouldn't I stick up for a man who's produced a lot more great hits than tijs, so much so that Tijs admitted people used to refer to him as another 'ferry corsten'

It was a class piece to true trance fans? So you're telling me I'm a 'false' trance fan?

Obsession poor? hah, you hate anything that's slightly progressive don't you. Anyways, off topic. You're the one that brought Tiesto into this, I hadn't said a word about him. The fact is that I've hated these two remixes regardless of Tiesto's subsequent Adagio remix so many years later. I would've said the same thing 2 or 3 years ago. And also some of Tiesto's best works, just like Ferry, included ones not as well known, like all the old Stray Dog collaborations. But that's off topic.

I don't hate everything Ferry. I like Moonman more than any of his other aliases. And I even liked Punk! But I commit blasphemy as a 'false' trance fan because I didn't like the William Orbit remixes, or most of the stuff under System F for that matter. If that offends you well sorry, can't help it.

to be fair: ferry's mix of ravels is nice but was never a classic or masterpiece or anything.

flight 643 would easily be called more of a classic than it.

I'm not a blind Ferry Corsten hater, I love his Moonman and a lot of his older stuff, but this? Bleh. Ravel and fluff do not mix...

thats too bad u cant enjoy a great song. (adagio that is)
