Sylphin...
The new city law said it.
If you want to throw a party , you have to get a permit.
To obtain the permit you have to hired policemen. One poliman for each 125 peeps.Promotors also had to give (I don't remember how much) free entrance for undercovers.
You also have to hired one medic gard or wathever is it called from "la croix rouge" for each 125 peeps too.
This law is in effective for big parties (800+) since july 1st.
From september 1st small parties will be under this law too.

DOum!

thats pretty fuckin nuts...but u know what...i saw about 40-50 cops at oasis and there was only 5,500 people so i guess it makes sense.

also by law, they are only selling 7,000 tickets and the jarry tennis center is HUGE! when i went to snowball they used the whole thing for 4,000 people and you could have sworn it was 75% empty....at freaky there was about 3,500-4,500 people in half the place and it was still very spatious

out of any venue, this is the venue that we have the least to worry about. If cream was in the BIG O (parking garage) i probably wouldnt go because cream last yea was 50 degrees and i lost 12 pounds!

Well lemme tell you something, its much better than having no raves at all. Don't you think..

Its sick what's happening in the USA where the techno scene is being controlled by corparations in *mega*-clubs (I hate capatalism), at least in Montreal, if I wanted to throw a party I could.. just would need a bit of cash (although its getting harder and harder, because rental compagnies for sound/lighting are really really more expensive these days. also I find, if you dont ha
