Did it ever occur to you that Top DJ's travel around the world? They haven't got a lot of time to do a different mix for every single radiostation, so they do a mix and send it out to different radiostations. They also have to think about things beside dj-ing and producing and their families.

Also the programmanagers (who decide what's on the show) can't know which mix has already been broadcasted in another country, they just broadcast the set that has been sent by one of the dj's.

Or maybe it's just GDJB or every other show the one who got all the sets later then everybody else and then get broadcasted. Or dj's don't want a set to be broadcasted on a specific radioshow.

DJ's like Armin, John Digweed and PVD have an own radioshow, they spin, they produce and travel the world to keep fans happy. Ofcourse they want the money, don't you want the money to bring bread on the table? And don't you want to be paid for what you're doing?

very well said; i'm not disagreeing my friend.

Just using that excuse however to justify something like tiesto rebroadcasting his 7-29-03 cream amnesia set 20+ times is kinda ridiculous...

not taking out my anger on ferry specifically... just on those that are sellouts and have stopped caring about the music as much as they use to... thats all...

(also very frustrated cuz i stayed up till 3 a.m. to hear a repeat ) Mad props to the djs tho... didnt want you to take me THAT seriously but you can't excuse every dj like that freezel; i'm sure there are a couple up there that you think are overrated and have been kinda selling out

lets all be friends

It's not ridiculous... Radiostations broadcast FOR THEIR AREA. Whereas Party 93.1 is meant for Miami, ID&T is meant for the Netherlands, the BBC for the UK and so on. Since they don't target on the same listener, it's not ridiculous that they sometimes broadcast the same sets.

Just because of the fact that we all here are so eager to *download* all the sets from worldwide, that doesn't mean a DJ can't make a promomix and sell it to loads of radiostations worldwide. It's a perfect solution, since those radiostations do not compete with eachother. The simple fact that there are people who rip it to mp3's (thank you!), doesn't mean it's bad a DJ sells one mix to a lot of stations. It's only annoying when you download them all. But that's not what they were meant for initially...

And now I am bitching anyway: the same thing applies for whining about certain tracks being played over and over again in livesets... like there are people that go to EVERY liveset of a random DJ... There are new people evertime, and it's for them the tracks are played, not us downloadgeeks who leech it of the internet.

And now i wish yee all a merry Christmas!

I hate it as well when I stay up or arrange time for a set and got a rebroadcast or nothing at all. Well, we can sat that 2003 is the year of rebroadcasts

You're right that some dj's are way overrated, I've got my opinion about some dj's about it and you know them (example Gielen) It's a personal opinion that everyone have about certain dj's

As stated earlier in this thread the radio stations are designed for different parts of the world. If we didn't have internet radio we wouldn't be hearing "repeats", because we would only be able to hear what's played in our area. For me living in Wisconsin I would hear jack shit so a replay once in a while is fine with me.

so would I in this part of Mexico. hah.

I know the thing about covering certain areas, I know that's the way it works; the thing is that I got all excited cause I wanted to hear something new from ferry, and bang, I get a 6 months old set. Certainly it's a sort of complication for all of us who are always tracking down what the djs do, what tunes they release, what sets they drop and suff, but I'd have expected a little better from ferry, I don't know.

Oh well, nothing against party 93.1 and markus (your show still rocks), my slight anger is just towards ferry, not like I'll stop liking him for this, this ain't a big deal really, i'm just a little dissapointed.
