Ya I love remixed rock songs. Give it a nice guitar backbone and then mix int he trance. They usually kick butt

it all depends on the remixer mainly. some songs suck as a remix reguardless of what genre they are from, and then there are others that you didnt think would sound that good at all and they blow you away. as a general note, i always like when you get a catchy hook that was popular from yesteryear and make a funky dance track out of it, as long as it is skillfully done.

Adam Freeland's remake of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit

The original is a rock anthem, this remix is awful IMO

The COast to Coast Remix of By The Way : Red Hot Chilie Peppers is awsome (Altho this is house)

Radiohead - Street Spirit (Tiesto Remix)

is also worth a look

Cool

I don't care much for rock, but the trance remixes of certain songs I use to try and get some of my friends that are into rock to like some trance, for example I let one of my friends listen to a remix of Evanescence - Hello, didn't work though.

I disagree. He starts a discussion on electronic music mixed with rock music. That means the discussion is releated to electronic music.
