That price is for registered ECC memory - are you sure that's what you've got? Very few people ever buy ECC (error checking) memory, it's used in servers and stuff.
Besides which, $195 is also ridiculously overpriced, even for ECC. And PC2100 is getting obsolete.

I just got 256 DDR RAM at futureshop for $70 with a $40 mail in rebate. Pretty good if you ask me

Even if it was a normal 256DDR stick, new @ the store, after taxes would be around $100, so $50 for a used stick isn't really that bad.
