Hate LOTR? Why? You are just jumping the bandwagon saying you don't like it. LOTR is classic. The books were written WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY before Star Wars and Harry Pothead. Only now were they made into movies. Besides, the LOTR movies are much better production-wise than Star Wars and Harry Potter.
By the way, rumor has it Jackson is going to turn The Hobbit into a movie. Can't wait to see how that looks!
