A few words about three of the top choices:

Right of Way is a massive, unprecedented production that narrowly takes the top spot for me. It marks a completed shift in Ferry's sound, one only begun with Punk and the Dance Valley Theme. And as we know, Ferry's sound soon becomes trance's sound. It represents one of the few innovative production directions in trance today.

Indigo has never left my decks since I bought it. It's such a crystal clear, spotlessly uplifting track, miles above the other uplifting crap that usually rotates. I never understood why it didn't catch on as a favorite. It could just be that I'm obsessed.

Traffic, the accidental track that started merely as part of Tiesto's remix of Faithfulness, has taken his production in a radically new direction, and trance along with it. I think Traffic will be almost single-handedly responsible for the rise of a new Tech-Trance sound in 2004, with Marco V and Tiesto at its forefront. And what it does to a crowd is just sick.
