Ok, than maybe this could work, open up the club early, like 9PM, have your 2 Resident DJ's spin their 2 hour sets, than the other 2 DJs spin their 3 hour sets and you close at 7AM. The only downfall is opening up so early, but who knows, no other clubs open up that early.

this idea is all well and good in theory, but you gotta realize...this is Baltimore...that was England...two very different scenes going on man.
The DJs you are talking about playing on a daily basis are at clubs like Gatecrasher and Godskitchen which are huge superclubs that have been national & musical icons for the better part of a decade, with huge fanbases and followings and prestige. A startup club in b-more aint gonna have that.
another issue, I have no idea where you're gonna get the funds for this, cause hosting those massive DJs every week is gonna cost a pretty penny, and if you don't pack that place every time (which is hard enough to do for a brand new club), you are gonna lose lots of money really fast...especially since if those DJs stop by b-more somehow, they will probably already be booked in NYC & DC as well, which means theres a good chance the b-more show wont draw as big a crowd.

also...Glow in DC & the several NYC clubs already have the mid-atlantic pretty much covered, I doubt those huge European DJs would make another stop in their tours for a new unknown place that is in Baltimore...

sorry to be such a downer, but I'm just puttin out common sense

LISTEN........Do not worry about the money or what ever else you think you know about promoting!!!!!!!!

My business associate and I(Who is a major promoter in the UK but wishes to remain unnamed at the moment) are trying to bring something new and fresh to the area.

I had this crazy idea, for lack of a better word, poll the tranceaddict web site to see what kind of promotion we would have to do to get our night running. Hell, I never thought trance addicts would be so adverse to more trance/techno club nights.

And so far the only valid input I received was from BusyChild.

If I can't get clubbers from No Va to drive the 50+ miles to B-more to see 2-3 superstar Dj a night then we are doomed, and will have to focus our attention elsewhere.

And just a little side note for you, we have already been approved for a late licence in B-more!

mmmm well baltimore has no scene like you said and not that many people would go; perhaps they would? but you do not a solid base of fans LIVING in the area... not just traveling clubbers; otherwise it wont work; we all know this. I recommend gettin a NYC club... nyc's clubs are shitty... we have arc... avalon? they're alrite... but its not a monopoly like glow has; we have a couple small clubs down here in NYC and a HUGE trance community... i'm telling you; you'd work it out here... tell me what you think?

unless you already made complete plans for baltimore...

Thank you for you input RaverSurGe_NYTA. NYC is our long term goal. We don't have the connections that we have here in B-more. We are working on those relationships, but they take time. We know people who sit on the city board and one of my backers is a resturanteur here in the city, so we are in good standing here.

If we can get the idea working in a place like Baltimore, then we know we can move up to NYC and make it work.

I also just got off a business call and we are close to closing a deal on coach service from the No VA and DC area. So you don't necessarily have to drive yourself. Just simply get on a party bus.

it's not about being adverse to more club nights. u wanted our opinions and u got them, whether u liked them or not. if u can pull the nights off, kudos to you. it would be awesome to have an all-star dj lineup on any particular night. we're just offering our thoughts mang. and i'd have to agree with surge that it'd work in a bigger market.
