I didnt mind the set, what sucks is that i woke up on new years eve with a virus, which obviously made the night less fun =\

Woah!

Let me say it again .. woah!

Absolutely and completely owned by last night .. one of the best events I've ever been too. The sound was amazing (although very quiet right at the front in the centre), very crisp clear and punchy. The lighting setup was absolutely phenomenal - note to Future - this is how Two Tribes should be!! Huge racks of cans, strobes, blinders, spots, floods, was amazing! The only downsides was the massive queue to get it (though girls could walk straight in no waiting wtf?), and the heat in the main room, but near the smoke machines there were a couple of massive fans so it's all good

Tiesto absolutely owned it - his set in Canberra was the small club venue Tiesto, this set was in front of 5000 screaming gurners and was BIG FUCKOFF ROOM TIESTO! None of the tech-prog that he started with in Canberra, it was just massive tunes straight out of the box! Lots of new upfront stuff in there, and some classics as well

Also managed to check out some of the other arenas after Tiesto and the fireworks - DJ Dan was playing some funky techno which sounded OK for the 5 minutes I was there, but others said it got pretty monotonous pretty quickly...

The Rogue Traders had the house arena jumping, again quite good but too much batty house for me :/
Jason Bye was also pretty impressive playing the closing set in the main arena, Paul van Dyk - For An Angel was a particular highlight, and William Orbit - Barber's Adagio (Ferry Corsten Remix) just as the sun was rising over the Harbour Bridge Though Gav did a much better job trainspotting than me

Check Cam's post for the newest tracklisting

:completely_owned:

What an awesome night!!!!

i decided to have no high expectations as every1 was going on bout how good he was in canberra, and i didnt want to get too excited to be disappointed but WOW.
Definitely the set of the year!!! or even my clubbing career! (tho its only a yr and half long:P)
ahhhh such an awesome group of friends to share NYE with aswell, dancing up the front and humming along.
Tiesto - Traffic obviously a highlight and mind circus was too! There was an unbelievable track where we all looked at eachother thinking 'omg what is this track its amazing!!!!' but none of us had heard it before.
all up i give the night a solid 10/10, the view was soooo ahhh perfect, venue was great, ppl of course made the nite, and tiesto performance well im speechless
Heres a photo with ME, Tiesto, and Faz in the VIP lounge NYE -->

Tracklisting updated, he definitely did play Rah - Pole Position (Airbase Remix), and the original mix of Traffic (with some fucking around on the mixer ).

Check the first post in the thread for the tracklisting...

haha don't tell me don toadione had to wait in line???

hmmm, we didn't get 'mindcircus' or 'flesh'

one of the tracks he played in melbourne had similar sounds to 'nyana' but it was more massive, methinks it might be a new tiesto production?

Just got home, what can i say, SYDNEY F**KING OWNS! Didn't end up going to Mobile Home, just couldnt justify the price especially after seeing him earlier. Went and saw the fireworks at McMahons Point. The thing that sucked was i ciould hear Mobile Home and see the whole thing from where i was, made me wish i was there!

If i knew all of youse were going probably wouldve gone too, but oh well. Loved your city, had a good time!
