quddha don't listen to these people!!1

If you have talent for one thing, yet it doesn't "fuel" you, then don't bother with it... it doesn't matter that you're good at it -- what matters is that it doesn't interest you.

Plus, with guitars, it's a lot more hands-on, with musical results in real-time as opposed to doing it on a computer ... I can definitely see how playing guitars is a lot more fulfilling than writing trance songs! (I can definitely also see the reverse, but we all feel things differently... one day we're interested by one thing, the next day by the complete opposite, so what's the point in controlling it? Just go with your preferences...)

Good luck in your guitar ventures! And if you decide to "merge" guitars and trance, that would be great! (not to mention potentially innovative) And if you eventually get bored of guitars and move back to trance...that's great too!

I'm sure you get all this and have experienced it directly, first-hand, but I typed this up more for the folks saying, "Why are you stopping?" as if you're making a mistake.

Good points...

The worst thing you could ever do is STOP.

But don't ever be afraid to be innovative or different.

I was reading in a book during my subway ride to work of a condition called
quote:

Ostracism - the fear of being different, of standing out from the herd...Most people feel safer in the herd of the average, living in fear of being criticized or being different...Most people find it easier to be average, to be normal, to hide, doing exactly what the herd does...just going along...just to get along.

My point is, move forward and don't be afraid of the fork in the road before you.
The road less travelled will be worth it in spades in the end...

Good luck!
