Whoaaaaaaa u guyz are harsh!!! Man let them listen to the commercial stuff, let them not know the trance they're listening to.. people are passionate about different things, life's a box of different chocolates, diversity is good.. But I took a few friends to a rave who never been in the summer and they loved the music (actually we spent quite a bit of time in the d n b room) I would like my friends to like what I like but wouldn't force it on them and they never force their music on me either..
latez...

I agree with tu_face .But sometimes I just can't stand the commercial stuff.I could never go to a regular party,I just can't stand it sometimes. It just makes me think about the music industry. All real talents are standing in the shadow of the commercial and "good looking" acts.
And the worst thing is that they use children to earn their billions. There isn't one single human been over 8 yrs old who has bought a britney CD,not that I know. That's sick.
They (the commercial acts)only produce for the money, they even admit that they have a hard time being celebrities. But they do want the money! They maybe like what they do,but what they do is earning money and not producing good music.Everything will sound identic soon.
And they are steeling elements from electronic music.
Most people thinks trance is boring cuz it's instrumental. But they have sure heard something similar with a bich singing in it.(I'm not against eurodance 93-95!)
And look at Blumchen!Nobody of her fans today has even heard about happy hardcore(95-96)!I can mach at least 5 tracks with every one of her songs from my old happy hardcore CDs!
Think about it!
PS.
I do absolutely not judge or hate anybody for their music taste!

My opinion means little even to my self
If the trance ("good trance") we listen to gets played by the big radio stations and the media hypes it up too much sooner or later the trance we hear today will be become COMMERCIAL! And all your annoying friends who listen to whatever will start to say "hey i like that song by that fellow" and play it all the time.
Not alot of ppl like to admit they like certain music other than the "norm" they hear from the media. So they listen to all the commercial crap that gets about 500 plays a day on MTV and feel like they fit in with the crowd.
I live in the uk and dance / trance music is quite a popular thing. THIS WAS THE WORST thing to happen in the uk.
Example
operation blade - OVERPLAYED
Delerium Silence - OVERPLAYED
I first heard these songs b4 they were attacked but the media and an infinte amount of air time and i liked them.
errr
i feel i have drifted from my point...
Count yourself lucky if the music you like is not commercialised!! your friend will start liking it and then you'l be well pissed off.
Another thing, i belive the best music, is the music that reminds you of a certain thing or time in life where you have been you most happiest.

I agree my favourite tunez are always ones that remind me of the good times, even if they're not like godsent tracks..
I dunno I agree that if trance was played constantly on the radio and tv, it would be commercial obviously but u would still have underground trance... I dunno I'm too tired about thinking of this and I probably sound like a broken record, I'm sorry for all you who have read this argument before, I just think that if something gets too popular, people will get bored and it will inspire new ideas and new types of music may emmerge from that so it's a good thing in a way..
