Bollocks. Moby a sell out? Come on. His music sells to the mainstream but isnt watered down. He can still appeal to the underground crowd too. Have you listened to his new 18 B-Sides Remix album? I love it. And obviously he likes the underground, otherwise he wouldnt feature Ferry Corsten, John Creamer+Stephane K, and Tiesto on the album as well.

There would be no reason for Moby to "sell out" his style for money because he isnt about materialism anyways. If you see his MTV Cribs, his house is so zen and bare. The only thing of value in his house is his studio.

The reason he can appeal to a mainstream audience is because unlike pretty much 99% of all electronic music producers, he can play all of his instruments live. He plays the bongos, the guitar, the keyboards, etc. You need to check out the 18 BSides Remix Album because it includes a video of a live performance of his. Its amazing how he is running around the stage like a mad man playing all the instruments.
