I think its a great ad campaign!
the idea of soldiers holding a game like they would a weapon (you dont normally think of soldiers holding photos) I think its well done.
taking a previsouly taken photo and altering it, w/in that context is pretty shady. Great idea tho!
Just remember - some ideas should never be realized.

That is just wrong...I signed the petition and I posted it on another forum I visit. I can't believe how cold blooded people can be.

reading it again, I realize its not an ad campaign, and doubtfull that the ppl @ SOCOM had anything to do with it.
its a guide put together for stupid people who can figure out how to pass the game.
I don’t know what you’ve been smoking…this is just wrong…there are things in this world that you just don’t do …one of those things would be taking a picture of soviet soldiers paying last respects to their dead colleagues and turning it into some stupid game tutorial or whatever that thing is… for fuck sakes have some respect…think of the families of those dead soldiers…yeah they must be thrilled to see pictures of their sons been replaced by a crappy game.

that stuff is stupid.
it is wrong for the simple fact that it was a real picture taken from a real situation. what happens when we re-create those types of images ourselves. isn't that just as bad? because we do that all the time. society sucks.

The idea for the advertisement isn't all that bad, but the fact that they've replaced pictures of fallen soldiers with pictures of video games is so very distasteful, not to mention the intended purpose of the whole picture in general.

hey is that legal? cuz the family of the man pictured in the foreground might have a lawsuit. one that they might be able to settle for a nice price to avoid even more bad pr.
