my friend used to listen to death metal, rammstein, and some crazy norweigan metal bands (really nutty shit!)
and one day he gets in my car and i was playing DJ Tiesto Live @ energy 2000, and he went absolutely bonkers, he couldn't get enough of it and I'm proud hes an avid listener from me, he's constantly seeing djs spin and buying vinyl and all that good stuff.

Whats great about EDM and the majority of its listeners is that we are active listeners and learners as opposed to settling for being passive about the music. In essence, most of us actually dont just "listen" to the music, but rather, "study" it...and thats what I love about most of the people I've met over the years...

Too many people don't appreciate music in general, which is fine, but I guess I was never one to settle for less...


BTW, my parents would rather have me listen to EDM than Rap (especially the crap thats out now)....I guess thats why electronic music is so global....

Same here, I love the music, study it and compare it to other. But allways nothing can come close to it.
Also my father actually likes this type of music. I use to listen to rap and he would allways complain about it and all the cursing but this he likes. I could him the other day whistleing Ferry Corstens - Punk lol.
