You sound like a 70 year old lady. No wonder soo many Canadians are overweight - everyone is too lazy to do anything beyond getting to a parked car. |
Um... when was the last time you looked at me? Do I look overweight to you? No, I get off my ass and exercise. Standing in the same freezing spot for 40 minutes waiting for a bus is not physical activity.
As for the TTC, I've been there, done that, got the T-shirt. Am I spoiled? Maybe. Lazy? Give me a break. I think you're just bitter.

Subway yes, and I'll agree with Beh that taking the subway is just fine. Better than sitting around in stopped downtown traffic, for sure. 80% of the buses in Toronto, however, are still not air conditioned. Streetcars are iffy... they're nice inside, but at certain times of day, you can wait over an hour for one and it still won't show up.
Down with TTC. Up with risking bodily harm and severe property damage in cars during sub-freezing weather.

Well, taking a TTC involves walking, which is a physical activity ( extremely important physical activity I should add). Besides, I wasn't even talking about you - I was talking about general Canadian population. But you did mention - "hopelessly waiting for a seat". Now don't tell me that not "sounding like a 70 year old lady".
As far as waiting for a bus for an hour: Ever heard of bus schedules? You can look them up online - and most of the time they are pretty accurate.
As far as 80% of buses not being air-conditioned.. I'm not sure about that. When was the last time you took a bus? |
Yeah i agree with you, its just the initiative you take to make it happen, just plan it out correctly leave early, and taking the subway is hell lot easier and cheaper, subway runs till union station you can just literally walk there which takes about 7 mins or so.
Aaron face it your a old lady (j/k)
In regards to standing in line for a bus outside, i dont have to
I have the subway just below my apt
and yes the TTC buses and subway is heated and airconditoned according to the weather.
True a car is handy, but comes with a big price tag of - maintainence, gas, insurance ,breakdowns and lots of trance cds.
