Are we real? A rhetorical question that pops in my mind every now and then, along with, as a part of this earth....who are we? do we really matter?

But I just try to take life day by day, through its highs and lows, afterall, we're on here to live for a while, might as well enjoy it

Huumm.. I've had those same thoughts, but never gave them that much of importance, I do get scared of knowing that what we are in the middle of this infinite universe, is like nothing, heaving dimensions all around us, is scary thought, also, whenever I see those sciences educational videos, they say that we were made out of molecules and such, wich really scares the hell out of me. I myself have a belief, called me religious or whatever, but for what I belive, theres a GOD, and what we are living now is a plan, for the good or bad, and that we are somebody in this world, and that GOD is watching us, thats what I belive, so thats why I dont worry, I know im not the only one in here, yes , Im a christian, or whatever other religion you can be from, you have something to belive on. But yes, those thoughts have scared the hell out of me, but I have always gotten a response.

wow, thats pretty deep but i dont think its strange,its natural to wonder and question life...u know your not the only one to think like this..some people are just more aware of it i suppose...i suppose as long as u dont actually smash your room up your ok...people would worry about you then to be curious about your own existence and the world we live in is perfectly natural for humans to question...but things are just not molecules, they have a purpose and a meaning that we create...maybe these thoughts are just your way of relaxing...or maybe your stressed...as long as you feel your in control of these thoughts and they dont worry you then thats ok....

Well yup, I agree but not like that sometimes when I'm staring at the stars at night and listening to really tripping music I just think that yes, we are only molecules and stuff but that makes me and everything a part of this universe a part of everything and of course a part that tells me that somehow everything plays a role in keeping the balance on everything..I know that's weird but it happens specially if i'm NOT on something, as sober as a priest.
Yeah guys maybe I should go as well to the mantal hospital but what the heck gettin' like this is something I like.

sometimes i think about our purpose in life, but i don't think about everything being molecules n shit...hahaha....we got a regular einstein here! lol no, but yevat you should realize that all those little molecules make up THINGS and LIFE and PEOPLE and PURPOSE. everything connects and has it's part in life. we all exist here for a reason...this is a test. sometimes i think that we are living in pergatory now (it's a catholic thing, you'll know if you're familiar with the bible somewhat or just christianity) and how we are now, determines what will happen to us when we die you should have more faith in life and make something of yours.


remember, this is just my opinion.

oh yea, and i did kinda have thoughts like that only once when i tripped for the first time recently...i didn't like it, and for that reason only, i won't go near acid again. i was just thinking about humans and life and death and our purpose and stuff. it was just too weird to think about. i didn't like it. and u know how it is when you trip...you can just really trip yourself out with your own thoughts. it's scary stuff to me one of my friends once told me something that made me think. he believes the mind is all evil and the heart is all pure and goodness. it's like god is in your heart and evil corrupts the mind. so you should live your life in your heart and not your mind. kinda makes sense.

Now I'm not going to go into what I believe about the subject -- cos I'd be here for days -- but I can tell you that this topic is a metaphysical/epistomological query (no, really) and I can tell you where you can start learning about this kinda stuff:

There's no such things as molecules...everything is atoms.

On a more serious note: Actually I've been thinking about these things myself and I've come to the conclusion that what's here today is a very strong indication of some kind of divine power (call it God, Mother Nature or whatever). If you look at something as simple as a cell, you're observing a combination of different molecules kitted together in a unique and *very* thoughtful way. Each of these molecules are combinations of different atoms, some of which came into existence fairly late in the history of the universe (the part starting with the big bang). Now considering that the average density of mass in the entire universe is less than what we can achieve in vacum-chambers on earth, you'll realise that the probability that these exact kinds of atoms met up as to form the first cell is very unlikely (we're talking the odds of you winning the lottery every week for the rest of your life or something).
If we add to this the genuity of something like a human cell, that knows how to build an entire human body, how to repair it and operate it I think it's clear that something must have pushed this development.
So eventhough you're only a bunch of atoms loosely connected remember that there must be some "meaning" holding it together. At least that's what keep me going.
