Ultra Spin 4, wow what a night, got there at midnight, prefect timing for G&D so quality, especially surpised by that hard mix of beautiful things. They definatley preformed beyond my expectations, i thought i would be put to sleep by them but no way.

Infected, not really my thing but they had me dancing for a while, but headed over to Anne Savage and she was ripping it up.

Headed back for Rank 1, Airwave, right on time Set was good, trackselection was kinda boring i thought at times but nonetheless, a really good preformance and really good close out, too bad kool haus sound system kept failing on them.

Then just to cap off a beautiful night, Mark Oliver closes the night over in Guvy just beautifully encores too. ATB - Your not alone mmmmmmmm... candy for my ears at 7:30am

Good lights and set up in kool haus but the sound was a little quiet (they were definatley having some technical difficulties) And is anyone else with me when i say; "Get some fucking lazers for the kool haus!!!!!!!!" Infected would have been that much better with lazers.

Nice meeting all you tranceaddicts i never seen before! There was definatley a crew of us.

that show blew my mind all night long....From being up on stage swingin my glowsticks around, to sitting in the front.....Big up to all the people i met... LKD, luca, ummm swamper, my boys, arcebo, dont stop....hahah {souldnt be aWAke at 8 am} and eveyone else....sorry if i forgot you.

Alright, first of all, I have to say that I didnt make it for the meetup, unfortunately, because I got to Toronto at 9:49PM and we BARELY found the Guv. Well, overexagerrating, of course, but it was a treacherous drive and my windshield wipers were in a terrible state. So please dont bug me about the fact that I did a meetup thread and then didnt come, cause it was a HELL OF PREPARATION ... Got off work 8:05 ... drove off 8:10 ... pick up my friend 8:17 ... picked up Hami 8:28 ... got to gas station / left 8:50 ... treacherous road conditions ... I feel bad, cause I soooooo wanted to come to the meetup, but but but ... but

Alright, now about the party. WOW, it was AWESOME! I'd rank it my third best party I've ever went to, behind Christmas Bash 2003 @ Viva (#2) and Edgar V @ Viva 08-2003 (#1). I've met and talked to sooooooo many TAs, I cant possibly list them all, nor do I remember everyone at the moment (SLEEPY ......ZZZZZZZZ), so sorry if I ommitted anyone: Skeletor, Hami, Tanya, Durafei, Swamper +1, Itikia +gf, two Asian guys who I met at Viva on Christmas Bash 03, Diginut, Loconet, Tatgirl, Psyrage ... and about 20 more TAs ... TAs RULE!!!!

Now as for the music ... The DJ who warmed up for G&D played some really really sleepy repetitive prog ... zzzz ... but when G&D came on, WOW ... I am not scoffing at them anymore! They played pretty much all of their remixes ... INCLUDING MY FAV OF THEIRS - NALIN&KANE - BEACHBALL!!!! Also, remixes and originals for both Andain songs, also Sarah McLachlan - Fallen ... overall they were great. However, by the time it was 1:20, I wanted them to go off ... zzz ... I cant believe they played Beaituful Things TWICE! Now thats not cool!

Infected Mushroom - WOW! Were awesome! Played lots of new psy and their stuff, didnt recognize a SINGLE track ...

Rank 1 - cheese-free, some great stuff, but didnt blow me away. I expected more ...I left Kool Haus at 5:40PM.

Mark Oliver - great as usual, at times I came by the main room and chilled to some of his tunes ... I totally went crazay when he dropped Afterburn - Summer Sun

Oh, the orange room was all-night hip-hop, and they played at times some fine hip-hop when I went through, but mostly shite. Once they played Notorious B.I.G. - Hypnotize, and I actually stayed there for the duration of that song ... ONCE! Otherwise they played lots of crap there, and there were a few people there anyhow, hehe!

I really wanted lazers in the Kool Haus, but oh well ... I have to give the award to the DJ of the night to G&D, although IM was greatin that regard too, but I think G&D deserved it just a bit more ...

too bad it was only 1.5 hours..and rank 1 for the rest of the time
since many people got pumped up..and then more epic relaxing trance was on afterwards

Me, DJ Arecebo, Binary_eclipse, satters, and 9 other cats from Michigan. You could spot us by the big glowstick ravin, photon, 8 glowstick, firewall, crew in the front of the koolhaus for most of the show. The kid in the red pants photon/glowstick light show (me Dont_stop), or the firewallin on stage man (binary_eclipse 2 glowstick on each arm, with in each hand 2 glowstick totalling 8. Or whether it was the kid in a big hug circle or ravin out hardcore to every beat of all three acts. The night was sweetness, and us out of towners think the Guv/Koolhaus is the shit. Here is a lil taste of a tracklist. Somone in our group for around 80% of G and D and 90% of rank 1 and a couple guv tracks during the show and after koolhaus closed. For any trance addicts that we met and chilled with or others that just met us, come on down to michigan ann arbor the necto or detroit for some sweet djs, small venues but sweet shows, and us TA know how to party, like u do. Or the long drive to columbus or chicago for sweet venues (House of Blues, Chicago or teh factory or redzone) whewre tiesto and ferry and armin and judge and oakey sasha, pvd has done some sweet epic sets, who visted the midwest 4 times last year. anyway the tracklist, or what we can remember as we seemed to id most the songs but didnt write it down till we got back now.

My night at Ultra Spin 4 can be summed up in 2 words: FUCKING AWESOME. This was my first trance event that I attended, and im hella glad it was a night like this.


Music: I arrived at around 12:30 to enjoy most of G&D's set. absolutely awesome, i really enjoy thier style. As for Infected Mushroom - i rarely listen to psy/goa but these two Israelies turned the party upside down for me! I only stayed around until 4:30 AM for Rank1 b/c my friends wanted to go home... but I heard some great uplifting 'choons there.

People/Environment: I didn't goto the TA pre-meetup, but I DID manage to meetup with a few friends from my classes @ school, Steve (& his GF andrea) & Jeff (who spent some time helping me look for my friends around Guv. thx!). dEsidEL, props for recognizing me from my avatar during Rank1! Everone around koolhaus seemed very cool. i didnt really know any of the TAs by face (not yet, anyway)... but the TrancEaddict presence definitely felt very strong.. especially @ the front!! (i was the brown guy wearing white pants + a blue dress shirt, raising his water bottle constantly )

thx to my 2 friends (who dont use TA) who went with me that night, i appreciated it.

Wow...I mean....WOW....

First off, great to see all the TAs representin'; was definitely a great turnout by all!

The premeetup was fun and was great to see G&D up close and personal.

Seeing them play was even better. I can't believe they played "Murder was the Bass" (One of my favs atm)
and hearing Beachball is always amazing on a large sound system.
I don't know about anyone else but I think that's the best I've ever heard Kool Haus (in terms of sound)

Must digress and mention DeKoze as well. I'm liking him more everytime I hear him. I can't believe he used to be a top 40 DJ in Sask. lol!

Infected Mushroom; these guys blew me away this time.
It was a 4/4 murder on the floor. They must have set their sequencers to eeeevil as they just ripped your face off with a never ending slaughter of auditory beats.
I think I danced more to these guys then anyone else last night.
The last time I saw them (Labour of Love before Bad Boy Bill) I wasn't sure about them.
There's absolutely no doubt now; they move my legs!

Rank1; I was beginning to worry about how these guys would mix in after a hard Infected Mushroom blitz set. They took everything in stride and it didn't disjunct my night at all. They're exactly what we needed after a pounding; bliss.....ah...........
Unfortunately didn't stay for their whole set, but I did get to hear about 4-5 tOOns which were all awesome.

All in all I have to give this night a stamping of 9/10; coat check was great this time round; wasn't so busy that you couldn't really get around and the music was amazing from beginning to end.

I REALLY hope we'll be able to get our hands on the G&D set afterwards; it truly was a great set.
