but please please don't post anymore pictures of naked women, i find it offensive and i don't want to have to look at it. it's bad enough that i have to look at T&A on half the people here's avatars.
i asked a mod to remove it so i hope it's gone soon. thanks a bunch, again i dont' want to be bitching but i just don't think it's appropriate.

I'm suprised I offended anyone, but id never seen anything like that table . . . and if you did notice the title of the pic is MKIII . . . . who knows if this crazy plexiglas thing is the next tech. as far as posting "anymore" pics of naked women, I don't remember doing so in the past . . .

That's correct, that's how the first one came about.
Not sure what's going on in DJ Thy's picks but they don't look right as the gold plating was actually reflective and that looks very matted.
The original DMC champ version was actually that shiny gold colour and was actually about £750 (each when first came out) to buy and was limited edition. Some places still have them as most people thought they were too ugly to buy.
Initially as I remember the mixer awarded was the gold version of the technics but after that I don't recal there being silver or bronze stuff for second and third place, but it could be possible as I did stop watching that comp a while back.
But yes they were just ordinary good ol' mark 2's. The M3 was a natural progression and it wouldn't surprise me if they are giving away the M5G these days.
If anyone is actually looking to buy a chrome coloured deck plate I would actually advise you not to. A friend of mine has two in his shop (behind the counter) and he is constantly having to clean them from finger prints. Whilst they can look really effective, the amount of cleaning maintenance is outrageous.
Cheers
Nem
EDIT - removed a few sentences as I realise I should have been paying more attention when I wrote this post.
