that's the difference, a trailer shows some good parts of the movie and plot, a teaser is just an announcement, a brief thing from the movie, it is meant to create curiosity, not to show off the movie..if you don't like how it is, don't watch teasers =P

Ain't that the sad truth?

Besides, if I want to spend money to see a mindless action flick, I think I'll watch this one:

SPiderman 2? I am definately not going to se that movie, the first one was such crap. By the way I played the games, and come on you wanted twists and sub plots The first movie doesnt have to do shit with the games the only part that has to do with the games is the end of the movie ( I personally liked it, I didn't expect it to be like the game) I took the game as being the book the movie was based on, in that aspect the games kick the movies ass. the only part that I didn't like is the portray of the dogs that killed the whole zombie dog effect (if they can't do it right don't do it) besides from a movie stand point most ppl went to see it for a shoot em up, first and game fans second, atleast that was my opinion when I went to see it at the movies and saw all the ppl around me (none looked like fans of the games, LOL there was even a complete family with 3 year old kid included watching the movie) lol I LMAO when the kid started crying because of the licker (dumbass parents)

Same guy that did the first R.E. is now directing Alien vs. Preditor. Hmm.

Like most of you say its a real shame when a book, a game, or a movie is remade and ends up to be worse than its original source. I say if your going to re-do it, re-do it right. All people want is for the remake to stick to what made the original so special, and everyone who re-makes these movies & ect thinks that thier way would be better. Its a shame but thats how it is.

JaY

I felt like this movie was garbage, and completely missed any of the things that made the game what it was. And, I just didn't find any of it scary. I just can't consider a movie serious if the lead actor is performing bullet time ninja kicks on zombie dobermans.

On a more positive or negative note, the old director (Paul W.S. Anderson) was dumped for this one or didn't want to do it, and now we have Alexander Witt directing it. It's apparent Witt never produced any other big screen movies, so I'm not sure what to expect. Unfortunately, Paul still played a part in the scripting for this, along with Stephen Monfante (who also seems to have only entered the movie industry this year, and is cowriting mortal combat: domination, scheduled to be released later this year).

I'm hoping these new people weren't friends of Paul whom he dragged up into the industry with him.

you don't seem to understand..the movie plot can't be the game plot is..the movie isn't made exclusively to resident evil gamers, it's a wide audience movie with a plot that is necessarely independent from the game cause not everyone played that game..

The point is, why change something that doesn't need to be changed? The plot from resident evil could have easily been abridged and developed into a movie. There's no reason someone who hadn't played the game would be not comprehend the storyline.

It's the same reason Jurassic Park was so much better than the Lost World; in LW they decided to do the whole, "let's not do what the book said for the most part of go off on our own tangent", and it turned out to be not all too spectacular compared to the first.

And I'm not against director's taking creative liberties in when creating a movie based on something in a different medium, but I'm all against having it suck. There's just too many problems with this movie.

Anyway, see:
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/ResidentEvil-1113364/
http://www.suntimes.com/ebert/ebert.../03/031504.html

(not the Ebert is the pinnacle of proper movie review either, but he brings up some obvious issues with the movie)

All of Anderson's other movies (Event Horizon, Mortal Kombat, Shopping) have been pretty lackluster everywhere except the amount of ultraviolence he crams into them.

OMG THIS GUY IS FUNNY AS....

"There is one neat effect when characters unwisely venture into a corridor and the door slams shut on them. Then a laser beam passes at head level, decapitating one. Another beam whizzes past at waist level, cutting the second in two while the others duck. A third laser pretends to be high but then switches to low, but the third character outsmarts it by jumping at the last minute. Then the fourth laser turns into a grid that dices its victim into pieces the size of a Big Mac. Since the grid is inescapable, what were the earlier lasers about? Does the corridor have a sense of humor?

Alice/Janus Prospero/Marsha Thompson and her colleagues are highly trained scientists, which leads to the following exchange when they stare at a pool of zombie blood on the floor.

Alice/J.P./M.T. or Rain (I forget which): "It's coagulating!"

Matt or Spence (I forget which): "That's not possible!"

"Why not?!?"

"Because blood doesn't do that until you're dead!"

How does the blood on the floor know if you're dead? The answer to this question is so obvious I am surprised you would ask. Because it is zombie blood.

The characters have no small talk. Their dialogue consists of commands, explanations, exclamations and ejaculations. Yes, an ejaculation can be dialogue. If you live long enough you may find that happening frequently.

Oh, and the film has a Digital Readout. The Hive is set to lock itself forever after 60 minutes have passed, so the characters are racing against time. In other words, after it shuts all of its doors, and gasses and drowns everybody, it waits 60 minutes and really shuts its doors--big time. No wonder the steel doors make those slamming noises. In their imagination, they're practicing. Creative visualization, it's called. I became inspired, and visualized the theater doors slamming behind me"

eh, i liked the movie, but i would've liked it a lot better if they had stuck to the story of the game. The biggest letdown for me was the day they said that George Romero was off the production cast sad face.
It was a good movie tho, i enjoyed it. especially Michelle Rodriguez
resident evil 2 looks like its gonna be rocket-crazy. can't wait
