Hey guys, be sure and vote in the primaries in your state and help pick Bush's opponent.
John Edwards is the only Democrat imo who can beat Bush. A few weeks ago I would have said Wesly Clark, but he's not doing as well now.
John Edwards is a great uplifting orator, and we need someone from the South on the ticket. At the very least we must win Florida.

I like John Kerry too, but he wouldn't do as well in the South and Midwest at the top of the ticket. He would make a good VP though imo.

Dean's campaign is finished after his "I have a scream" speech.

I checked with my friend and it turns out I was a little off. It's more like this...
First off if you make from $0-infinity you're going to be paying for the debt. In some ways you already are.
When the federal gov. runs low on $ they cut money going to the states. When state government runs out they start cutting money from education for teachers and stuff. This how we all wind up in crowded classrooms AND get college tution hikes semester after semester after semester...
The debt works just like a GIANT credit card. That means we're spending BILLIONS of YOUR TAX DOLLARS on nothing but interest. Instead of paying down the deficit Bush and the republicans are spending BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF DOLLARS on stupid stuff like Dick Cheney's Halliburton (over charging the Army on gasoline in Iraq) and big tax cuts for corporations & the wealthy. Now he wants to make those tax cuts permanent.
When Clinton was here he paid DOWN the deficit. He spent BILLIONS on education and tech. While he was here he generated 20.8 million new jobs. More than Bush & Reagan combined. So if you like jobs and education and don't like handing BILLIONS of tax dollars to rich people and oil companies VOTE FOR ANYONE BUT BUSH |
I was listening to an economist on NPR, and he said the only way to pay down the debt and ensure social security's future is to raise taxes on the rich back to what they were paying some decades ago.
Repblicans don't seem to care about the rest of us, and they only seem to care about millionaires and companies like Enron.
This is a direct quote from Cheney:
"Reagan proved that deficits don't matter."
