Well, put it this way. In February 1997 I remember everyone thought Sash! "Encore Une Fois" was a superb tune, but everybody disses Sash! now. In late 98/early 99 everybody loved ATB's "9PM (Till I Come)", but by the time of "Killer" everybody dissed him. With Darude "Sandstorm", on another board I visit everybody loved it in the first half of 2000 but by the time it crossed over to the mainstream it was labelled as cheese, then "Feel The Beats" came out, Darude did lots of crap samey remixes and now I can't think of anybody who takes him seriously!

I liked Barthezz "On The Move" when I first heard it but I've already heard it being called cheese. Plus the radio here are overplaying it and I can see it being a huge chart hit which usually means he'll make a somewhat similar track for the money and then his stuff will (likely) be labelled as cheese. It will be interesting to see what everybody thinks of Barthezz by Chistmas. Oh well, just my opinion!

Absoloutly right... the thing is that I've heared the track Sandstorm and kinda liked it until he came on stage in Israel
since then, I really hate this dude!!

I've never saw ATB on stage so....

lets hope he wont go the same way as darude (only thinking about the money)
i really hope (for his own best as a quality trance producer) that the follow up will be a track that doesnt continue at the stage where on the move will end some day
that will destroy him as a produser for the trance scene and open a new way for him as a cheezy producer

but what the heck
its up to him

this is only my view on the case

Hey the one that talked about the ATB and SASH!

you are absolutly right !

I can't agree with you more then this,
although ATB and SASH! still rockz !

and for darude, i didn't like that kind of tune from the begining

about barthez, going on the same path as darude went it will be just as bad for him as for darude,

and if you can't wait for a new single from him, his remixes sounds just like his original songs (same as on the move) so try:
DJ Jean - Lift Me Up (Barthezz RMX)
it's more like it and pretty good !

well
put it this way
darude came out already as commerical

barthezz - on da move
did not come out as a commericial track
we can not blame it for being such a good that, that they even put it out on charts.. and then it sells a whole lot more. barthezz gives music from the soul

not like darude who gets his cheesie tracks out for the money.. everytime deejay'z in my home town play it i start freaking out and getting mad, cause there are so many dumb asses here that think its a g00d track.. well i think you got my opinion on this one, and i persionaly can not see barthezz coming out commercial like darude!!

and you know what, it still didn't happen, must of the people i know stil think that on da move is a gr8 track, not like "sandstorm"

bigggggggg differents

this is good news!

personally i think theres a huge difference between darude and barthezz... i rarely ever hear on the move played in a nontrance mix... but sandstorm is still played EVERY time i listen to a "friday night party mix" or shit like that on the radio and everytime i goto platinum in dc... but imo on the move does sound much better... darude was cool for like the first 3 times i heard it but now it sucks

I can hardly wait till the new Barthezz comes out. Liked On the Move from the beginning but it became way too mainstream... I just hope he doesn't make the mistake to produce something that sounds like On the move, but that he can instead make something entirely different but equally good (or even better).

Hey Barthezz: Surprise me, like U did the first time!
