FYI...
Percocet, or any drug ending with "-cet," contains Tylenol, known as acetaminophen. What you should know, is that you should NEVER, EVER mix alcohol and acetaminophen. Alcohol affects how your liver metabolizes acetaminophen and basically turns it into a poison, destroying your liver. If you'd like more information, do a search on acetaminophen-alochol syndrome. So, if you decide to do any drug ending in "-cet" (percocet, darvocet, ultracet, etc) don't drink too, or you'll be needing a new liver in no time.
Also, nausea is a very normal side effect of narcotics. Really the only way to stop it, short of using Zofran or Phenergan (anti-nausea medications), is to build up a tolerance. IMHO, I'd stick to other, more "recreational" drugs. Narcotics dependency is not pretty, only thing worse that I've seen is alcohol dependency/withdrawl.
Hope this helps. |
nice, reading through the thread first saved me a lot of typing for once. perc dependency isn't uncommon and it's very unpleasant because it's no where near as easy as just not taking the pills anymore. plus, you don't feel yourself getting addicted. just one day, you are. and for future reference, when you're nauseated, puking, feeling weak YOUR BODY IS TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING. try listening to it and lay off the percs, especially with the alcohol.
