Perhaps, but I think it is pragmatic not to talk with terrorism - it is when you talk to them that you are giving in to your real human emotions, and not the logic. The example of the recent hostage release is the best example for this IMO.

Yeah, the prisoner trade says it all when it comes to negotiating with terrorists. Their minds don't work like ours do. We see it as "making a deal". They see it as "setting a precedent" - i.e. "Oh look! They gave us 400 of ours for 1 of theres! Let's kidnap more and see how many we can squeeze out of them!"

Negotiations with Arafat were bad enough... negotiations with Hamas or Hezbollah? Forget it!
