the main thing to think about really, is that I notice amongst some ppl here a lot of tensions in posting & it's always going to lead to some ppl losing out like, maybe it did sound 'lame' about how they did it, but if every1 tried it it wouldn't work, the best chances would be if one or two ppl arranged it & ppl let them do that & just turned up, then more would get to do the meetup without fears of being shafted

hmm i don't think what i meant came across quite right....but it's late and i'm tired and i cbf...hehe........if organisin secret meet-ups with djs floats ppl's boats and makes em feel special, then more power to em i guess....but the whole elite "i have a super secret technique" thing just sounds a tad lame *shrug*
anyways....so, the UK TAs are a much more cohesive bunch than us aussies hey?? guess i'll have to see for myself when i'm livin there think they'll be nice to an un-cohesive aussie girl?? |
again I can understand how this comes across as 'sneaky' or something but it was thought necessary to do so, and if it happens again, maybe more ppl would be invited, but again, if they invite too many, it makes the original organisational skills look bad
As for the UK.... well depends which bit ur staying in, obv we're not nearly as far apart as some in aus (syd to perth for example) due to the geographic nature, but there are several groups, the london lot for one, then the midlands, the northern ones, the scottish ones & the irish, a lot of that is just due to the ease of travel, that not everyone can travel 200 miles for one event, but on the big events they obv have big meetups, which bit u staying at ?

i wasn't talkin about the fact that nobody was told....like i said, i didn't care at all if anyone got to meet armin....i was talkin about the "i have a secret technique which i'm gonna use to meet other djs now" thing....it just sounded funny to me....as in funny haha i wasn't saying she should reveal the technique....just meant it sounded a lil lame that sumbody would even bother mentioning the "i'm so cool cos i have a secret technique" thing at all!!! anyways, nuff bout that
and yeah, despite how it seems on here sumtimes, most of us who are geographically pretty close to each other get along great....it's not only UK.TA who feels the luv
I'll be living in London - getting there mid-August after 2 months travel thru rest of Europe....baptism will be Turnmills August 13 *lol* I'm committed to living in London for at least 3 months....if I'm liking it I'll stay - or else might go somewhere else in Britain......basically I'm free to do whatever the hell I choose til I gotta come back to Aus in June '05 Hmmm one of these days I should venture on over to UKTA forum
