Ok then, let me give you a more in depth answer to my reply.
What I am getting at is that from what I have heard you definatly have the abilty to make the remix a hell of a lot better then it is.
Your sound in my opinion is not a proffesional standard, but it is not that bad. But the way you have gone about remixing the song is.
The layout is too simplistic, just making a beat over a track is too easy these days, as is finding the midi to get the correct notes (althought theres nothing wrong in that ). If you had perhaps gave the track more of your own 'identity' by adding more original parts to it, extending it 'chopping' it up ect. It would sound better & original. Also as Nik (Mr.Mystery) says, you have used a very basic beat and off beat bass which sounds dated. Try to come up with some more complex patterns. You are obviously capable of more.
Go and have listen to some of the tracks on this forum such as:
Surrogate Survivor - Radience (Chris Shepherd Remix)
Evanescence - My Immortal (Michael Feihnstel Remix)
Echano - Feels Like Flying (Original)
And of course:
Evanescence - Hello (Bren-F's Bugged Out Vocal Mix)
Pervading Call - Destiny (Bren-F Remix)
All those links will give you the threads to listen to the tracks
These are all tracks from people who post on these forums, a lot of them unsigned (although there is more to producing then getting signed ). Have a listen, they may give you some good ideas.
Stick aound mate, don't let the feedback from this track put U off.
I may have a go at remixing 'Behind Blue Eyes' Myself
