All right mate

My comments are similar to those of above

considering this is only your second tune its f*cking amazing.
it's realy progressed from the demos U sent me. The intro is superb love the FX (evem the robot ones )

However i would suggest the following:

Theres too much reverb in this track, try to cut down on using it as it is muddying up the track. Try to get a good mastering setup aswell to clean the overall sound up.

The percussion needs fixing. A better kick is needed (speak to me ) the off beat hihat and the clap sound ok but the closed hat sounds too simplistic and ruins the sound, try to experimnt with better perc.

make the lead synths louder & add more variation

The structure is really good tho

Well done mate, keep producing you have potential to bee good

I love those beginning SFX. I guess cuz I'm an 80's kid, and I love those sounds. Nice opening pads, great SFX, the bassline is good, but the kicks need more power.

Nik's right about those open hats being a bit too loud. They can kill your ears if they are on big speakers.

Wow, did you say this is your second attempt. Not bad man. Good synths, cool ideas. Keep it up.

Bren: Cheers for the comments mate, glad you liked the intro. Will talk to you as soon as I can, and you can tell me what you mean my mastering setup and stuff...

Mental: Heh, glad you found something you liked about the track. I really need to work out how do better percussion though - it's obviously not my forte at the moment. I'm working on my 3rd tune already so hopefully I can make them a bit better for that. Thanks for your comments.

Mike: Thanks for taking the time to listen mate. I'm glad you think I am heading in the right direction. Hopefully you will like the melody of my next tune a bit more. Time will tell...

stunning baseline..base it self not bad, lacks energy..

nice percussion, though nik is right, it's not balanced.

i like those kinda wind effects, gives a cool atmosphere..

kick needs energy.

melody not my kinda type.

good ideas in here..and i think your sound is very cool.

As Mr. Mystery said, the percussions overpower the kick quite a bit, which can be remedied by getting a way better kick. If you want some good samples let me know. I also agree that it lacks a fullness in the percussion department, a few more panned layers would be very nice. I like the melodies, but as with the kick I feel as though the lead just doesn't punch out in the mix as well as it should. Work on those details and you have a nice track!

I liked this tune i felt it was pretty original, something new and fresh to the forum. The bass is great but you gave too much attettion to the hats leaving them like a 80% of the song. Like the lead sounds simple but with some nrg on it. Great work i'd love to see another track from you.

Bit of an update.

Syeker: Thanks for that! I'm glad you think the tune is pretty original. And if you wanna hear another song from me you'll just need to wait for a bit coz I've started making my 3rd tune.

Sean: Thanks for the pointers, Sean. To be honest I don't think percussion will ever be my strong point.

Massive: Cheers for taking the time to listen and post comments mate, very much appreciated. Didn't really know I had my own sound, but oh well.

Bah, percussions aren't that difficult. With some synth work and pads and the like, the expression "less is more" is often true. I find with percussions, "more is more" is often far more accurate =P
