Its no secret that the Palace was in bad financial trouble for years. I'm actually surprised it took this long for it to shut down.

the palace has been in trouble financially for quite some time
i've been told that paul vickers had been fronting the money for the rent for the past while
finally they declared bankruptcy (or something along those lines), laid off all the staff and locked up

i just know a good friend of mine is out of a job and is fighting to be paid for the last month of wages that she's owed but told she's not getting

My feelings exactly...so who has a million laying around to turn that place into Western Canada's super-club. All we need is a sledgehammer, some wood, maybe some paint, the Funktion One Dance Stack Ultra system, the Dry-ice jet machines for La Boom in Cancun and the giant equalizer from Amnesia.
