You know, our standards are just a lot higher. I remember all these foreign TA's enjoying Trance Energy so much, while we found it cheap looking and even a bit boring.
For many people abroad, a full football stadium with 40000 visitors and trance music would be heaven. We (it's a Dutch thing I guess) complain about the bad vibes and the lousy sound system.
Maybe it's better they first visit those 'commercial' parties, before attending those special events like Loveparade, Nature One, Dance Valley and Mysteryland. They will run into new surprises when they come back again, instead of getting a party overdose the first time.
Some of us are lucky bastards, especially those German and Dutch ravers who have been there from the beginning: Mayday, Mysteryland, Thunderdome, Innercity... We've seen it all, we're really hard to impress. For a newcomer, especially from the States, our dance culture will blow their socks of, even at Sensation.
We're a small country leading the world in dance music. We should guide them along the way |
thanks for putting it so kindly
and yes, yall are a bunch of lucky bastards ... although Ultra/WMC in a few weeks should be a lot of fun
