havent checked the board in a while but i couldnt resist adding my 2cents on this topic.

probably one of the best nights i had was when gatecrasher first came to the limelight a few years ago with tiesto, ornadel, and scott bond... that had to be the craziest i've ever seen that place. amazing light show...

time to add fuel to the fire... arc just cuz its so simple and its sound system is awesome. avalon cuz it's glitzy and its lights are awesome. it's a debate that'll never end.

1.roxy is not a good venue b/c it's too flat and spaced out
2.exit, i don't even have to say anything
3.sf is too small, the only time i went there was for that pvd night 2 years ago, and i had a negative impression of it b/c it was so packed
4.centro is too much like a small club

my comparisons are to
1. Avalon in boston, except for the 2am curfew... nice layout and high ceilings
2. guvernment/koolhaus in toronto.. phazon and alot of space
3. Vision in Chicago

avalon in boston is a great place, all you gotta do is take away the fact that its in boston and your set. and btw i would take roxy over koolhaus any day.

IMHO, The Guv/Koolhaus is the best club in North America. With Aria/Stereo in Montreal coming in next.

In NYC,

Crobar has the best sound and room for a big crowd.

Avalon has the best space in terms of layout but the crowd is snobbish and ruins the vibe.

Centro-fly has best sound and space for a smaller venue.

Arc has really good sound and the best crowd God I'm going to miss that place...
