If you like techno I wouldn't miss Derrick May!. He with Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson were the founders of techno borned in Detroit.

Let's get it right people

Juan Atkins really started it all with Cybotron in 1983 then the Belleville 3 (atkins, may and saunderson, who all went to school together, tho it was may, saunderson and juan's brother aaron who were in the same class). Derrick May is known as the one who broke techno to a wider audience with rhythim is rhythim, which really pushed techno to others, who decided to make techno. Without May, techno would not exist as it does today. DJ Anthony Ross needs to do some reading on his music history. Derrick May is a great deejay, total pompous asshole and ego maniac as a person. If you get to ask him a question, ask him why he blackballed Blake Baxter from detroit.
