Yeah I agree with Renegade, you either love him or hate him.

I personally can't get enough of the guy. I don't think he takes himself too seriously and he's not afraid to experiment at all. Look at his mix of Star 69, it's wicked. Dooms Night was cool and Special K wasn't at all bad either.

Then there's Der Sheiber, Ubik.. list goes on. He's a bit out there bit that's what I love. These days you can get 4 different re-mixes taht sound the same, but you know Timo's mix is going to be something a bit different.

When I was reading this thread I immediately thought of his remix of Star 69 too. It's awesome and very typical for him I think.
Connected is one great album.

I personally hate Timo Maas and all his stuff..

But he does his own style, just like Scot Project, and there are people who like it, so..

as long as I don't get forced to listen to his stuff..

Connected is his best work to date in my veiw, personally i think Timo is a master of the art, his mixing is spot on, techincally and estheticly, his transitions are smooth and pleasing to the ear, he surprises u sometimes with what he choses's to spin/mix.
When i heard cd2 of connected i was amazed, so cool is cd2
the only track i felt was wrong for the connected album was
Fatboy Slim - Star 69, to me it did not fit in with the rest of the style of the album.

delerium - innocente [deep dish mix], {that first light choon, can't remember the artist and don't wanna go get the cd}, pascal f.e.o.s - can dance
my fav choons on cd2: fatboy slim - star 69 [timo mix], {the 4th song can't remember artist or title}, placebo - special K [timo mix], {the 7th song and 8th song, wich i can't remember the artist or title - i know song 8 is coatnoise [dave clark rmx]}

Well I saw him for the first time last week and he played a great set. I think he was only scheduled for 2 hours, but he ended up going for 4. He was having a great time.

I don't really enjoy his production skills as much, but he's an excellent dj.

On a side note--
I was sitting right next to the door he walked out of when he left for the night. He came out and looked around to see if anyone noticed him, then he looked right at me and nodded. So instead of acting cool and nodding back, I froze and didn't even move...when he walked away I felt like an idiot. All my friends are still making fun of me.

that would be when he got his residency @ tunnel in germany.. his first set there he completely fucked up coz he had one too many drinks heheh..
