Dude the cold war is over, if you havent noticed the US is the only superpower left standing. We have more military power than the rest of the world combined, so I think we're going to be ok without the Comanche.
I too felt it was a waste to cut the project, but after reading an article on it I discover what an absolute disaster it was. For those who dont know here's a synopsis: Around 1980 Army started this endevour to develop a light inexpensive scout helicopter to replace their aging fleet. After over 20 years of development, they still haven't been able to design a fully functional helicopter that works and is safe. Army planned to buy 5,000 comanches, but after the price tag sky rocketed from 12 to 60 million/per chopper they relized how ludcris it was.
So just be glad the money will instead be spent on providing new choppers that really work to our boys in the field.
