to each their own... i never will understand people who enjoy psychodelic trips. it's scary shit to lose concept of time and lose control of your thoughts and see stuff that's not there and think it's never going to end. i'm trying to stay away from drugs lately because i'm at that point where i feel i should settle down a bit since i'll be in school again this fall and plus i've done too much already. i do the occasional party favor when i'm clubbing, cuz it's there w/ no hassle and it's free. but this is like coke, pot and e. the drugs that bring people together without exploring some mystery land that doesn't exist. i think of acid and dmt, and i picture a bunch of crackhead teenagers sitting around a living room exploring a blank wall and then coming back to reality to exchange stories. that's just humourous to me. i'd rather be at a club, fully functionable, with my friends and good music and feeling a little bit better and more alert maybe from drugs that you can control. or from the HIGH that you can control, i should say...
that's just me though...everyone is different. i am a thinker and i'm constantly observing and trying to understand people and life, so acid was way too strong for me. it scared me. i will never touch the stuff again. |
That's a solid reason.
But what if it isn't fake, what if it is real? Serious/interesting question. Some trips and experiences people have had can really challenge that belief. I think it is good for people (not everyone because lots of people have no concept of who they really are so psychadelic drugs suck for them) because you can explore yourself, perception, spirituality etc etc.
Using drugs like dmt just "for fun", or to get "fucked up" is really, really dumb; talk about pointless existence. It's all about mindset and attitude, only way to really experience altered perception if you ask me.
Bottom line: to each his own.
Back on topic, salvia divinorum is kind of similiar to dmt in the way time is affected (duration and other things as well), but dmt is slightly less 'controlling' then the salvia experience, which can be extremely terrifying.
