What I find sad in this poll is that right wingers here seem to have a lot more in common (are more compatiable) with the democractic candiates than the left wingers here are compatiable with Bush.

For instance, Dean for me got 48... and other democratic canidates are as close to 80-90%, yet for all the rest Bush barely gets past 10% compatiabilty (TranceGiant is excepitonal in this case).

Perhaps this hints at the fact the demos are more closed-minded then we would they would like to think

could very well be. I hope people dont take this test too seriously, because that would be awfully silly if they were to take these results and act accordingly. I don't think too many people are that foolish... but you never know... I got Kerry in first place, but i cant stand his fake ass... Im voting for Kucinich, and I think hes going to gain a lot more popularity within the next couple of months. Listen to the way he talks. He says intelligent things and doesnt speak at all like the others.

EG:
Instead of saying, "When I'm president I will ... take a shit.."

He says, "We really need to take a shit."

Bush - 100%
Edwards - 98%
Kerry - 94%
Kucinich - 90%
Sharpton - 84%

Upon closer inspection, however, I have concluded that this program is quite frankly broken (unless you fit into a highly predictable cookie-cutter ideology). I took the time to manually tally up the issues upon which I agreed with each candidate, giving percentages weighted based upon how closely the candidate's opinion matched my own, e.g. 100% for a perfect match, 75% for a close match, down to 0% for a complete opposite. The results were unsurprising to me:

Edwards - 54%
Kerry - 54%
Kucinich - 50%
Bush - 49%
Sharpton - 44%

This, however, makes me wonder where this dubious program got the idea that Bush was a 100% match with me, given that we disagree more often than we agree. The other natural conclusion is that none of these candidates would adequately represent me - but of course I already knew that.

Although one might say that all these online tests are meaningless, this one seems particularly so.

No no, don't tell anyone. This actually gives Sharpton a chance!

Arbiter, it is the half rule. Just cut in half the score on the test and you have a ball park figure Except for Sharpton and myself.

VIVA LA SHARPTON!
