Rachel Corrie's example proves that there are some decent americans who care about those people there country f*cks over. A country is always in trouble when it starts to kill journalists and protestors. It shows it has something to hide. Face it all you Israeli apologists, your country is no better than Syria or Egypt or Turkey. You may be able to deceive the americans but noone is buying that Israel the perpetual victim line anymore.
The reason you people complain so much is because you realize although you dont want to admit it that Israel is beaten. There is nothing you can do to stop the inevitable Palestinian victory. You can con the worlds media into ignoring what you people really want "transfer". I am going to get flamed for this but it has to be said. I read your papers online, Israel isnt a closed society, I read how a sizable percentage of the population want to transfer the pesky natives into their ghettos, to make sure the ethnic mix remains majority jewish. If it were any other country who talked like that I know what lable would be applied to them. But no Israel is special, Israelis are saints, everthing Israel does is always justifiable. How easy the persecuted turn into the persecutors. In the long run the dream of an ethnically Jewish homeland, surrounded by a sea of arabs is a fantasy, economic, geographic and most importantly demographic factors all ensure that it is little more than a pipedream.
Rachel Corrie was well intentioned but she was a fool, as if the Israeli government or the USA cares about her or the palestinians. And that attitude is very clearly demonstrated by the opinions on this board. But since Israel will not listen to the likes of Rachel Corrie, I am sure that it will listen to all the Wahhabbi fanatics that will inevitably stream into palestine in the next couple of years to wage their "holy war". Islamic fundamentalism is here to stay and it will be far more dangerous to Israel than the old school nationalism of the PLO.
