itll reduce the water pressure if it goes over the car. Look how close the hydrant is to the car. The area near the coupling of the hose would take a near 90 degree angle to hydrant. Less your fighting with gravity...the easier for them haha. And windows are easier to bust than the side panelling on a door.
THOUGH they coulda ran it right along the back window. But I guess they just wanted to teach a lesson to that guy haha
What are you talking about?? reducing the water pressure? I don't know about canada, but in denmark the waterpressure on our firehydrants is the same as in our houses. So it doesn't matter since firetrucks actually are big waterpumps, sucking the water out off the hydrant.

He's talking about a near 90 degree angle at which the hose would have to be pointed upwards in order to clear the car properly. The resulting kink would definitely reduce water pressure.
And yeah I used to have a pic of a guy as my avatar, I found it on a modeling site and he reminded me of someone I know. And he's not bald.

they just replaced all the fire hydrants in our neighbor hood, odd since i dont think they have ever been used in an emergency and seem to work fine otherwise.
Work fine otherwise? How do you know this...by unscrewing them just to test them out, or are you a pyromaniac, or what?
