wow! That's just too much thinking over such a thing as relationships IMHO... Just loosen up a bit and let it flow, take some time for yourself and see what the future as to offer, and just take it as it comes. It seems like to just try to hard to be ahead of things, to make it everything perfect.. I'd say in every love matter, its better to go with the flow then swim against it

Its so crazy that so many other people have experienced something like this! Right now me and my "boyfriend" are in the exact same situation as you are, I know we love each other, but it's a possibility that we might not be able to make it work. Such a hard conclusion to come to though, I love this guy more than life and I do have some faith in how crazy our love is...

you just gotta move on. thats the only way out. otherwise you'll be stuck in your limbo and thinking about her and will always be depressed.
the only hard part is how long it will take you to break her free from your mind. love hurts man. its not an easy process.

Seriously though, I may not follow my own advice perfectly but that's what you gotta do, the fact that you wrote that just goes to show that you spend WAY too much time still thinking about what happened! Just say to yourself, fuck it, she's a ho, her parents are hoes, her brothers and sisters are hoes, and no girl is worth that much of your time unless she's putting out at LEAST that much of her own time.

Do that, and one day you'll have a revelation: you'll see yourself or hear yourself as if you were seeing or listening to someone else, and suddenly you'll realize it's all a bunch of bullshit mind games and you'll be free of them simply because you can see them. See my status. Don't ever settle for a "maybe", don't think to yourself that maybe she's just shy or afraid or has been hurt in the past, because when a girl really wants something, she'll make it so damn obvious that it'll make your head spin.

Quit brooding guys. Stop feeling with your hearts and start thinking with your dicks. We're men. That's what we're designed to do.

HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD.

listen to this man. i've learned this the hard way, but every word of what he has said is true!

women really LOVE playing games...they're more into power play than actually securing sex...(not all of them but a good many of them, especially the young ones, 18-24 age range) u've gotta learn to read signs quickly, to determine whether the girl is gonna give you what you want, otherwise you'll just end up wasting either alot of money, alot of time, (or both) and will end up getting hurt.

and yes, dont settle for "maybes"...waste of time.

Dude.. forget bout her. I went thru the exact same thing earlier this year. Talked to this girl for liek 3 months... everyday.. just like you. we meet up in hong kong, did all the gf/bf shit. But then she told me she just wanted to be friends.. i was fine with that. So i just started to have fun and hung out with her friends and shit. But she couldnt handle it.. got jealous... and then we started doing on the gf/bf crap again. I asked her if she really wanted to go on with it.. she said yes. Then when we get back to the states she tells me her ex calls her up and says he wants to get back with her. She tells me she still loves him. Long story short... she ditches me and gets back with him. You don't need these bitches in your life who are going to play around with your emotions. Everything they say is a lie. You think she loved you? if she did she would be with you. You just have to take the hit and move on. Learn a lesson from it. Remember the signs that she gave so next time you will know ahead of time. I was pretty broken up about it too.. but eventually i got over it. Time is precious and you dont need some lying bitch wasting yours.

Oh yeah... and what most people said here is totally correct. I like grey goose vodka myself :P

And delete her from your msn/icq.. she doesnt deserve to be on there. Forget bout her and move on. Don't live in your past. Dont keep any signs of her around. Take everything she gave you.. presents, gifts, pictures.. etc., and put them in the closet where you wont see them. And dont stay at home otherwise you'll just dwell. Get out as much as possible and meet new ppl. the pain will subside. Even better... it'll go away once you meet someone new. And when you do you'll wonder why the fuck you were even depressed bout the other girl in the first place.

Of course, when it's just sex, there aren't really any games involved, it's just two horny people that get together and do the nasty. No feelings, no fuss. If you stick to the stereotypical male spectrum of emotions (that spectrum being "horny", "angry", and absolutely nothing in between or outside), things seem to be okay. Everybody wants people to be predictable when they're aiming for a quick lay, but that gets boring in the long term... once it becomes a "relationship", which could happen at any time (even in a matter of days or hours), all hell breaks loose.

I think we guys tend to be a little arrogant (although we hate admitting it) and think that we can make those gals behave themselves and treat us right, but I've never managed to accomplish that nor have I seen anyone else accomplish it (particularly not in that 18-24 range). The only real way out is to kill off those other emotions and learn not to care in the first place.

Of course I'm sure some people will disagree, but I'm just going to go with my instincts on this one.

yeah, thanks to everyone who posted their thoughts here

never in my life did i expect to be writing one of these relationship threads hehe...but now i understand what brings people to pour out their heart to the world, and what a help it can be for closure to the heart.

i agree with miki tho...it would have been quite an average year without all the good-times we had together - so many great memories together, but even the bad times i think i'd take them all again just to have the good...guess i'm a total sucker romantic

well...i started a job on thursday...and it's been a LIFE-SAVER...tho i admit getting depressed yesterday morning after dreaming about her, then all morning i couldn't stop thinking of her.

anyway, now i found out i'm starting a casual job for (evil, evil) micro$oft next week, full-time training for 1 week, then casual after that (hopefully leading into full-time).

i still have no money to go out...that was quite a big part of being depressed thru the break up...not even being able to afford to go out and forget about things when i wanted to...but i get my bond money back from the house in Canberra next week, and should be getting paid for the work i did here this week too...next weekend, think i'll take the mates out to get smashed totally

i know, for my own good it's best to delete/forget everything about her, but i'm still in lala land atm, wondering if i'll ever even see her again...like Dmatrox said, easy to say, harder to do
...i want to, but yeah have to agree with what people have said - it will be best to just move on.

so, thanks again to everyone here...especially DjDarling...i know it probably wasn't your intention, but being able to spill everything out has certainly eased the pain a lot, and even just being ablt to write it out has brought comfort too.

and to everyone else having gone through, or going thru similar life experiences, it's ok to grieve, you will be depressed of course...but just remember, you're not alone
