Respect to the music for the jilted generation lovers .. amazing album!!!
I'm 23, been listening to trance since I was 18. But I think you'll find trance listeners cover a huge age range, my old man is 60 and he listens to it too

I'm so glad this topic came up.
dont know anyone over the age of 30 that listens to trance.
It fucking sucks when you are talking to an old fart about music. This is the way the conversation always happens for me...
Them: "So, what kind of music do you make" Me: "ahhh, mainly electronic" Them: *silence* Them: "oh right.... and what sort of music is that?"
Shit it pisses me off sooooo much. In fact I think that I am going to change my sig to:
You will never get used to hearing old people saying "I dont like that thumpy music"
....And dont fucking get me started on my parents. My stepdad is always saying "electronic music is just noise, its crap!" and I say to the dumbshit "Ohhh, you've got no idea how hard it is to make, do ya?"
then he just plainly replies "I dont care about how hard it is to make. I just listen to music, and thats it."
then I say to him "I'd hate to tell ya, but electronic music IS about how hard it is to make!"
BUT! -thats not the worst part... the worst part is that he is such a dumbshit that when he hears me playing something like 'royksopp - eple' he says "Why do you listen to this? it doesnt even change its so repetitive"
TA's, Let me just finish by saying:
If old people pulled their head out of their ass long enough they'd probably notice that songs aren't that repetitive and they are fucking hard to make!

LOL. Im only 17 and got into trance at 16 or so, just now really getting into it. And my friends and whoever say to me the same thing. Its like "it doesnt change!" Im like ya it does, just listen. It seems like people are closed minded, I think they need to let their emotions go and just relax and let the music flow, then it won't sound repetitive. When my family and I are on long roadtrips visiting relatives, me and my older brother pop in some Trance and then a little later my dad is like "I can't take this any longer, it frys my brain. All this distortion and bass hurts my head." I just laugh (inside) and put on my headphones.

I first started listening to trance when I was about 17, but I didn't get into it as much until I hit 20. I'm 23 now.

The 1st EDM track that I fell in love with was "People are People"- Depeche Mode... I was 13 or 14.... so I guess I would be considered "old" by some of you... but that is a relative term anyway... I am 33. I married a Dj and he has been listening to EDM since it's inception.... (he is older than me ) It is part of who we are...

I had dabbled in "techno" when i was in like 3rd or 4th grade thanks to my brother...Robert Miles - Children, the Prodigy, stuff like that. It had always been there, but I really only became interested in trance after listening to Gouryella - Walhalla maybe...3 years ago? Im currently 17.

I was about 13 or so when I first heard BT - Flaming June. THen I went through a SASH! phase before I discovered the likes of Paul van Dyk and Sasha. I remember listening to his Globalunderground Ibiza album. Talk about an addiction waiting to happen!
